Business Challenge
A new machine or re-purposed machine capable of specific Radiused Run Out (RRO) thread roll die grinding was required.
Our Approach
- A donor lathe was selected for rebuild and re purposing to an automated RRO die role grinder
- Refurbishment of the current XYZ lathe including a deep clean and painting.
- Addition of a Bosch Rexroth CNC System solution for Turning machine.
- Addition of grinding head mounted onto the cross slide of the lathe.
- Mounting of the HMI including enclosure to house / protect Monitor.
- Front bellows replaced with a new bellows system.
- Localised guarding added as appropriate.
- A new chuck mechanism added as per client specification.
- Addition of new mandrels to mount different product

- New fully supported CNC Thread roll die Grinding machine.
- Reliable and accurate automated process.
- Improved guarding and safety systems.
- CE Marked and compliant machine.
